Cannabis Assisted Sessions

Cannabis assisted sessions are legal plant medicine journeys for therapeutic or other purposes. I offer cannabis enhanced sessions for individuals and groups. These are available for those who are over 21 years old and selectively screened through an assessment process.

Cannabis has many applications for healing. It is a substance that can be used to stimulate appetite, help reduce anxiety, and assist in intentionally forgetting difficult memories. In the U.S., in states where adult use of cannabis is legal (also called “recreational”), many use it to relax and an as an alternative to alcohol. Cannabis potentiated sessions, also known as Cannabis Assisted Psychedelic Therapy (CAPT), are usually very somatic experiences, deeply relaxing, and a way to feel more. When we feel an experience or a memory deeply and bring it to full awareness, we then can move towards acceptance to release the stored energy in the body. This is what a profound healing can resemble.

We are currently in the midst of a psychedelic renaissance. The FDA “breakthrough” status for MDMA and psilocybin are a response to the research results that confirm success with these compounds for treatment-resistant PTSD and depression. Many are eagerly anticipating the therapies to be available within the next few years. However, as we are waiting for psychedelic therapies to begin, you can dip your toe in the experience with this legal plant medicine—Cannabis sativa.

CAPT allows for both a surrender into the experience and a greater sense of control and agency. The creation of sacred space and a fully facilitated experience allows you to feel very safe. Cannabis loosens the filters and peels away layers to reveal the authentic you. The experience is not necessarily linear and can feel like a cleansing and clearing for a deep reset.

Shamanic drumming, ecstatic dance, chanting, breath-work and sensory deprivation / float tankskundalini activation, hypnosis and meditation are all avenues into non-ordinary states or "psychedelic" ways of being and alternatives to the use of psychoactive substances. These modalities, along with the intentional use of legal cannabis as an agent for transformation, are safe ways to facilitate change in the subconscious. These activities create deep flow states where one is in trance, releasing stored or blocked energy in the body and open to suggestions for positive change.

I offer introduction to cannabis sessions, conscious cannabis circles, and guided transformational cannabis experiences for those (over 21) looking to experience a deeper activated state for the purpose of greater health, inspiration, and envisioning. While cannabis is safe for most people, there are certain contraindications (work requirements, addiction concerns, mental health diagnoses) for others. An assessment process is required to determine if this is an appropriate modality for you.

Introduction to Cannabis

Perhaps you have heard about the amazing healing potential of this simple herb. The flower, tinctures, topicals and edibles are all processed in different ways by the body. You will learn how this plant medicine has been known to replace medications, support sobriety (I know, sounds counterintuitive), and can help with relief from inflammation and pain. Experience a gentle guided meditation while learning to establish the correct relationship with this medicine.

Conscious Cannabis Circles

These are small group gatherings lasting approximately three hours, set to music with guided meditations and time for community sharing. The experiences are a safe and effective legal plant medicine ceremony that can allow for a reset and recalibration of mind, body and spirit.

I also offer these circles in person (with the right safety protocols) for team building corporate events or private gatherings. Larger groups enjoy a professional 5 speaker DJ system or wireless headphones are available for sound sensitive environments.

Transformational Cannabis Experience (TCE)

This is for the individual looking to have a breakthrough or ‘psychedelic experience’ with cannabis. It is an extended session lasting approximately 4 hours. We begin the process with a discovery session to explore intentions, followed by post journey integration sessions. The surround sound music is evocative and inspiring in a way that takes you into the deeper places for the purposes of healing, problem solving, communion and/or celebration. The TCEs are potentiated by having a sequence of at least two sessions. The first session can be an effective releasing of stuck energy. The second session a reimagining new ways of moving forward and a completion. We begin the series with a sixty minute preparatory session and conclude with a post journey integration session.
